"Bella, Bella” I hear you cry- well Rome is certainly beautiful but also romantic and inspirational. There really is a plethora of world famous sites around every corner! Where do we start with Rome? Its many historic buildings are just too many to mention but here are a few of our favourites to see on a coach tour and we are sure that they will be your favourites too!
The Colosseum is perhaps one of the most jaw dropping buildings you will ever see, holding up to 52,000 spectators in the days of gory battles between slaves and Gladiators. Just walk around the inside and outside to get a feel for its size and majesty.
No coach holiday to Rome would be complete without a visit to The Vatican, one of the most religious buildings in the world and the seat of the Pope. As you wander through St Peter’s Square, the emotion and esteem this building holds really does hit you. Perhaps take some time in the Sistine Chapel and marvel at Michealangelo’s works.
Or perhaps make a wish at the popular Trevi Fountain, flanked by rearing sea horses. You never know your wish may come true and you can visit Rome time and time again!
