Experience an unforgettable eight day holiday to discover the historical treasures of Germany, with visits to Berlin with its magnificent architecture, the city of Dresden, beautifully restored after WWll and the opportunity to uncover the secrets of Colditz Castle.

Day 1 SUNDAY – We journey to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais, continuing to Cologne for an overnight stay.

DAY 2 MONDAY – Sit back and relax as we travel today to Berlin for three nights at the Abacus Tierpark Hotel.

DAY 3 TUESDAY - Guided Tour of Berlin
A half day guided tour of Berlin today showcasing the iconic buildings and monuments that attract visitors year after year. Steeped in history, see famous sights such as the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall Memorial.

DAY 4 WEDNESDAY – A day to enjoy at leisure.

DAY 5 THURSDAY – Colditz
An interesting and emotive visit to Colditz Castle, set high on a cliff top and renowned as the Third Reich’s most secure prisoner of war camp with its medieval defences and its situation above a small, isolated town. We continue to Dresden for two nights at the Best Western Alt Residenz.

DAY 6 FRIDAY – Guided Tour of Dresden
Today a half day guided tour of Dresden with many magnificent sights to behold. The skyline is awash with spires, towers and domes belonging to famous sights such as the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House and the Residenzschloss.

DAY 7 SATURDAY – Departing Dresden we make our way back to the Cologne area for an overnight in a select hotel.

DAY 8 SUNDAY – We return to Calais for the ferry crossing, then home.
