Military event breaks by coach

UK military events are renowned throughout the world for their ceremonial splendour and will create holiday memories to last forever.

With National Holidays you can experience the pomp and pageantry of the UK’s biggest military events live in person, including Edinburgh Tattoo, Birmingham International Tattoo, the Rifles Sounding Retreat at Horse Guards Parade and the World Pipe Band Championships.

We include ticket admission, hotel accommodation and coach travel as part of your package, meaning your entire military break is just a click away.

Every year the UK plays host to some of the world’s most spectacular military events and you can be there thanks to National Holidays.

If you’ve never been before then make sure you consider The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, held at the spectacular Edinburgh Castle.

It’s a real sight to behold as the Massed Pipes and Drums and the Massed Military Bands march in perfect synchronisation in the opening procession before an extensive mix of performers, including old favourites and never-seen-before acts put on an unforgettable spectacle of music and cavalry action. Not forgetting the famous Lone Piper a crowd rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and spectacular fireworks display.

The Birmingham International Tattoo is more than a match for the famous Edinburgh show and continues to attract over 1000 performers from all four corners of the globe, including dance troupes, piped bands, musicians and acrobatic teams. Held indoors it provides a chance to see award-winning regiment piped bands and the very best display teams in action for a three-hour show come rain or shine!

This year don’t miss the Rifles Sounding Retreat, a special one-off event of music and ceremony to celebrate Riflemen, past and present, to raise funds to support those injured in action.

We also have breaks to the World Pipe Band Championships where over 230 bands from across the world compete for the coveted title. A real sensory treat!
