Coach holidays to Brighton

Brighton is a cosmopolitan seaside resort offering handsome squares, gracious terraces, fine crescents and distinguished architecture. It offers many attractions for the coach break visitor, from music festivals, arts and culture to great shopping, nightlife and the fabulous seafront.

Brighton became a popular destination with day trippers from London during the 18th Century after the arrival of the railway in 1841 and during the Victorian era saw the building of many major attractions including the Grand Hotel, along with the West and Palace Piers.

Perhaps the most famous landmark is the Indian themed Royal Pavilion located in the middle of the main thoroughfare of Old Steine, featuring a Chinese style interior, twirling domes, pagodas and motifs imported from India and China. The Old Steine is the floral centre of the city, and features flowerbeds a water fountain and a pleasant cafe.

In summer it’s pleasant to enjoy the pebble covered beach, which gives way to a sandy seabed. Beyond the Marina there is an area popular with surfers. You can also visit Sea Life Centre, the oldest working aquarium in the World.

Less known attraction include the Lighthouse, a contemporary art gallery which has no permanent collection and is located in a disused warehouse.

Enjoy some traditional fish and chips, take a stroll along the fabulous Pier with fairground attractions and amusements, or climb aboard the thrilling Ferris wheel for spectacular views. A vibrant and energetic resort, Brighton makes the perfect coach holiday with a host of attractions so there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
