Every year for five weeks in the run up to Christmas, Birmingham plays host to the original and biggest Frankfurt Christmas Market in the UK.
The market has proved a massive favourite with our coach customers who see it as the perfect way to get in the mood for the big day and start their Christmas Shopping.
With over 180 traditional wooden stalls, selling beautiful handmade gifts, candles, traditional decorations, toys and jewellery it’s the perfect place to pick up unique gifts and gain inspiration for friends and family who are notoriously hard to buy for. You will be bursting with ideas!
In addition to the traditional German stalls, there’s also a Christmas Craft Fair which extends into Chamberlain Square where Birmingham’s own artisan traders sell their own beautifully hand-crafted items, including organic soaps and cosmetics, handbags, local beers and cheeses.
Nothing beats wrapping up warm on a cold crisp evening and trying tasty local delicacies in the fresh winter air as you stroll the market stalls. Enjoy a crisp Bavarian beer with a traditional German Bratwurst or schnitzel, indulge in a crepe smothered in hot chocolate sauce, or warm up with toasted marshmallows.
Enjoy a hot mug of Glühwein while watching local schools and bands perform traditional Christmas songs and carols performed on the market stage, and have a sing-a-long with the market’s resident, ‘Chris Moose’.
And why not polish off your festive coach trip with a ride on an original ornate carousel?
